The Association of Economics Students in Turku (TuKY ry) was founded to continue the activities, operations and traditions of the Student Union of Turku School of Economics in the new university and the new student union. As a result of the merging of the universities, an association to provide economics students with services, looking after interests and other benefits concerning their field was seen necessary to be created. The official purpose of the association is to operate as a link between economics students and to contribute to their societal, occupational, social and mental tendencies.
The executive board of the Association of Economics Students in Turku (TuKY ry) for 2010 will be elected in the general meeting on November 17th. Only members of the association can attend the meeting. Every member of the association has the right to be nominated a candidate and the right to vote. The most important qualities required from the candidates are the willingnes to learn something new, teamwork skills, and the want to do things for and to commit to the association.
