Almost half of our committee year has passed and CIA TuKY has made it’s history’s first excursion abroad – where else than to our dear neighbor country Estonia. We and ESN organized day trip to Tallinn for Finnish and international students on the 23th of April. At the same time we took a little head start to Vappu.
The bus left at 5.15 a.m. from in front of Turku’s cathedral and headed to Helsinki. Once on the boat, we took part in little activities, like playing bingo, and after our arrival to the harbor in Tallinn, everybody got the chance to roam around. The board members of CIA TuKY did some shopping and after that ate at Hell Hunt, the oldest pub of independent Estonia. We also visited at viewpoint. The sight over the center of Tallinn was beautiful and CIA TuKY got a new friend.
In Tallinn we arranged a city challenge. There were some amazing performances and the team which visited most places and did certain tasks got a little prize on our way back.
At the beginning of 2014 we made a decision to organize bigger events and make our committee more visible this year. In March we also organized a Mexican sitz party with ISTU. At the moment plans for next autumn’s International Week are in full progress. However, there are also other events close by. During Vappu you can find us at Epic Sports Day and the following day you can spot us at the traditional Vappu picnic in Vartiovuori park. Don’t hesitate to stop by to say hi!
Have a nice Vappu everybody!
