¡Hola! My name is Lauri Lehtinen and I’m the new chairman of CIA(wuhuu!). I’m 23 years old decent guy who was born and raised in Tampere. I chose Turku School of Economics because of the international business program they offer here. I play hockey as a goalie for the KY-Jets.

Last year I was responsible for marketing and it was one of the best years of my life. I got to spent the year with our magnificent board, and we grew together during this year. We were almost complete strangers when the year started and couple weeks ago we took a trip to Gdansk just with our board. This is one of the most important reason why everyone should spend a year in Committees.

I’m so excited about the next year. I get to meet my new board and plan all these amazing events again. I can’t wait for CIA’s next year’s events like DGN and Hustle and all the things we get to do with the new CIA’s board. The best thing about CIA is that during the year you get to meet international students and Finnish students. Most of our events are open for everyone and you get to see how international students and Finnish students bond together. Also, because CIA is a young committee you have the chance to plan completely new events. For an example International Vappu was one of our most popular events and it was a completely new event. CIA is one of the most diverse committees, because we get to arrange all kinds of events and we are not tied to some specific thing.

I can’t wait for your applications and I hope that there will be a wide range of people applying to CIA. If you are interested, you can come and talk to me or come to our little Christmas party on 22nd of November at Parkki.
